Tarot as a Mirror, Not a Prediction
July 4, 2026
Tarot is not here to scare you, and it is not here to tell your future. At its best, it does something quieter and far more useful: it shows you what you already know but haven’t let yourself say.
The card is a question, not a verdict
When you pull a card, resist the urge to ask “What will happen?” Ask instead:
What is this reflecting back to me right now?
The Seven of Swords isn’t a prophecy of betrayal. It might simply be asking: where are you avoiding a truth you already feel?
Why reflection beats prediction
Prediction hands your power to the cards. Reflection hands it back to you. One keeps you waiting; the other helps you move.
Used this way, a single card becomes a doorway into a journal entry, a conversation, or a decision you’ve been circling for weeks.
One small practice
Pull one card. Don’t look up a “meaning” first. Sit with the image and ask: where did this take me? Write for five minutes before you consult anything.
The insight was always yours. The card just held up the mirror.
